Join the mysterious, magical journey between ancient shafts, walls and fortresses at the City of David, the place where Jerusalem was born.

Walk in illuminated darkness through the water of Chiskiyahu’s Tunnel, where water has flowed since the time of the prophets. The water may reach up to 70cm (28 inches)

For those that choose to walk through the water tunnel, water shoes and flashlights are required (available for purchase in our Gift Shop).

The use of candles or walking barefoot is strictly prohibited.

Entrance recommended for those 5 years and older. Babies and toddler may enter in a front baby carrier only. No strollers please.

For your convenience, there are storage lockers at the site at a cost of 10 nis. We apologize but there is no room to store baby carriages.

Transportation is available at the end of the tour to take you to the starting point at a cost of 5 nis.

Enjoy a riveting 3D movie about the history of Ancient Jerusalem and the City of David. So put on your 3D glasses, take a seat in the air-conditioned hall and enjoy. Registration for viewing the 3D movie is required at the ticket booth at the time of your visit.

Night Tour

The night tours begin with a breathtaking night overlook from our “Beit Hatzofeh” lookout point which emphasizes the unique, low position of the biblical City of David in comparison with Jerusalem’s Old City walls. An impressive 3D movie reveals the city’s magnificent past, followed by the guided nighttime tour. Your tour is accompanied by stunning lighting that illuminates new, interesting artifacts from biblical times. The tour continues to the ancient Royal Acropolis (Area G), where you will conclude with an artistic light show projected on the antiquities, telling the story of the City of David through movement and sound.

The Night show takes place on Thursday only. Hebrew tour at 7pm. English tour at 9pm. Tour takes 1 1/2 hours. Recommended for ages16+.

Entrance fee: Child 5-18 or senior 28NIS, Adult 35NIS

Guided Tour: Child and senior 35NIS, Adult 45NIS
